Best-selling author and television commentator Bruce Feiler talks with Rabbi Harold S. Kushner about America’s true Founding Father: Moses. How did a biblical character shape the dreams of Pilgrims and African-American slaves? How has the story of Exodus shaped American notions of freedom and leadership from George Washington to Harriet Tubman, from Superman to Barack Obama? Bruce Feiler is the author of the new book America’s Prophet: Moses and the American Story. His previous books include Abraham, Where God Was Born and Walking the Bible, which was produced as a three-part television series hosted by Feiler on PBS.
In conversation with Harold S. Kushner, Rabbi Laureate of Temple Israel in Natick and the author of numerous best-selling books, including When Bad Things Happen to Good People. Rabbi Kushner's new book is Conquering Fear: Living Boldly in an Uncertain World.
