“A performance as daring as it is powerful! Mr. Abraham delves into Shylock’s psyche. Skillfully directed by Darko Tresnjak, this production has been planted firmly in modern times.”
— The New York Times
Join Prism as we explore the Jewish themes in this controversial, powerful, emotional play. Starring F. Murray Abraham as Shylock, the Merchant of Venice has been arousing controversies for centuries with raucous and gentle comedy, tender poetry, and its struggle with mercy and justice.
We will meet at 1:30 PM in the lobby of the Cutler Majestic Theater. The play runs 2.5 hours in length, with a brief intermission. The post-play discussion will run approximately 45-minutes.
Tickets must be purchased by March 24 through the New Center website. CLICK HERE to purchase!
